Climate Forestry has been appointed to support the sale and/or joint-venture of a major Forest Management Unit (FMU) in Sabah, Malaysia. The area is 10,000 ha of which 7,000 ha is designated for plantation establishment. A total of 3,400 ha has been planted with rubber seven (7) years ago and the remaining 3,600 ha is available to plant new trees. The license duration is 50-years and the FMU is eligible to achieve certification against the Malaysian Timber Certification Scheme (MTCS) and verified-legal against the Sabah Timber Legality Assurance System (TLAS). Interested parties must be willing to implement long-term responsible forest management against recognised principles and criteria and best-practice.
